Ilene Cooper has been writing books for over 20 years now. Beginning with the Hollywood Wars series, through the Holiday Five, and the Kids of Kennedy Middle School, she creates wonderful lighthearted books aimed at young audiences. More recently with her Road to Reading series, she has reached out to younger readers, and now, taking into account her personal interests she has begun to write biography and other non-fiction.
Most recently she completed the The Dead Sea Scrolls which has been hailed as a breakthrough in allowing young people to understand issues that are extremely daunting and complex. Also in the works is Jack:The Early Years of John F. Kennedy which promises to continue her mission of bringing complex history to young people.
Other of her more popular works include Buddy Love:Now on Video and I'll See You in My Dreams which explore the rich dynamic world that youth inhabit today.
